In partnership with The Hive, Coca-Cola launched the Unlock Summer campaign, combining live-action scenes with playful summer-themed animations.
As part of this international multimedia campaign, we designed a system of Coke-branded icons for commercials and use across various campaign elements, including TV, online, out-of-home and print advertising. The campaign captured the essence of summer joy and shared moments, celebrating lasting memories with friends over a refreshing Coca-Cola.
Work seamlessly across multiple teams, including creative agencies, client groups, and production teams in Toronto, Canada and Santiago, Chile, to synchronize efforts and ensure the creative is on brand.
Design and produce all Unlock Summer campaign illustration assets in a visual style that embodies the iconic Coke brand for the commercial spots and supporting campaign collateral.
Summer is about embracing every moment, a concept that shapes the campaign's message and creative process.
The illustrations and resulting animations were crafted to be flexible and suitable for TV spots and large-scale formats like digital displays and billboards, ensuring consistency throughout the campaign.
Joining forces early with The Hive, Adhoc, Rooster, and The Vanity to forge a unified creative direction, we developed a vivid graphic look with vibrant brand colours and a custom-designed 3D icon set rendered to look 2D and tailored for global appeal.
The campaign successfully captured the spirit of summer by combining 3D animation with live action across multiple channels. Dynamic TV commercials brought the vibrancy of summer into everyone’s living rooms, while enhanced digital and out-of-home ads expanded the campaign's reach. Custom 3D icons were integrated throughout, ensuring consistent brand recognition across all visuals.
