For the past 3 years, By The Booth has worked alongside the Watt Group on a mouth-watering venture: creating digital menu boards for McDonald’s and McCafé! Showcasing our motion graphics expertise, the result of this collaboration continues to solidify McDonald’s status as the standard-bearer of franchise menu boards. Partnering with Fiocca Studios who shot and provided video footage in the early stages of the project, the creative challenges were to seamlessly incorporate motion graphics with pre-existing assets and adapt the built packages to accommodate the 80 screen variations in McDonald’s 1,400 stores across Canada. Developing custom solutions with said variations in mind (e.g. creating texts and graphics to match the horizontal or vertical framing of the videos), each piece of creative was handcrafted uniquely to tailor to the various scales of the display boards that range anywhere from 3 to 6 screens.

The successful and long-standing partnership garnered the attention of industry giants such as Samsung and Forge Media, leading to new collaborations on exciting display boards and installation projects.
